Conferences The budget figure is based on existing bookings and the increase in affiliated unions utilizing the hotel ( Prison officers association, Artists Union ) and other unions using the hotel, National Education Union, Podiatrist’s and CSP now only using the hotel for its training courses. The conference market currently tails of during the summer months due to the number of weddings and events taking place and by targeting all affiliated unionist we hope to increase this market segment during the summer months. Weddings This remains a key market segment and we currently have had 83 weddings to date this year with 16 in August alone. We have 65 wedding confirmed during 2018 and 23 confirmed for 2019. As mentioned earlier the challenge is to maintain the weddings during the construction period and all necessary steps to protect this business over the construction period are in place to ensure the business is maintained by screening of construction areas and communication with all parties.
