This two day course, held at Quorn, builds upon New Reps Development and is intended for more experienced Reps who either wish for a refresher or an opportunity to broaden and deepen their knowledge around a whole cluster of workplace related issues; from pay and conditions, and health & safety, to negotiating skills and campaigning around members’ issues. The course will include: • The sharing of best practice and workplace agreements • An introduction to the art, & pitfalls, of negotiating and pay bargaining

This five day course, held at Northern College, is aimed at Reps who want a practical, no-nonsense guide to getting the best for themselves, and their members, in negotiations with management.

It will cover the following areas: • What is Collective Bargaining? • Bargaining at Local and National Levels

• Union recognition • Management rights • Negotiating strategies • Conflict resolution

• Industry wide agreements • Bargaining in good faith
