GFTU BGCM Minutes 2017
designed to help us recover from the problems that you heard about yesterday
following the privatisation of probation. It is a medium to long term strategy we
are embarking on, but we need now as a union to take a long, hard look at
what we can do alongside our sister unions to promote greater inter-union
cooperation, as the motion says. We want to free up the skills of our current
team at NAPO. We do not want to cut jobs, but we want to see what skills we
can bring out and how we can help those staff to develop so they are in a
better place to improve our face to face services with our members.

concerted effort to work with the GFTU going forward in this area. Thank you
very much.

‘gig’ economy from Community, if that is all right with Community, and then
after that I am going to suggest that we have a break for a cup of coffee. Does
that meet with general approval? (Agreed)

my portfolio, one is drinking, by the way, and I practised that last night. The
