been treated appallingly and exposed to blatantly dangerous operational
models. In Working Links’ case there were, we estimate, four or five murders
on their watch, many of which are under inquest or still being investigated and
some, most notably, that have been in the media in recent times. I think those
sorts of incidents should not only be the subject of a further Parliamentary
Inquiry, bit there should be a criminal investigation as well of the former
directors of Working Links and all those directors out there who have been
content to see models which meant that offenders were telephoned at four or
five weekly intervals to ask if they killed anybody recently. Were it not so
serious it would be laughable. I want a criminal investigation and that will be
our next port of call.
As Katie said, there is still much to do. We will not stop, we cannot stop. We
want the very decent, most basic expectation that people should be paid and
treated equally across the two arms of the sector while it exists and we will not
stop and I know the GFTU will not stop until we secure complete and total
victory. Thank you. (Applause)

yellow and the dark blue tabs in the book I think all the financial stuff is there
and I hand over now to the General Secretary.
FINANCES
THE GENERAL SECRETARY: Thanks, John. All of the different accounts of the
GFTU have been signed off. There is a Pensions Trust and they are signed off
by the pensions trustees. There is an Education Trust and their accounts are
signed off by the Education Trust. There is the hotel which is signed off by the
hotel directors and then there are the GFTU accounts which are signed off by
