THE PRESIDENT: We now turn to the emergency motion that we admitted to the
agenda on Sunday in the name of the TSSA. This was on a separate sheet
which was handed out at the beginning of the week.
EMERGENCY MOTION
BRO MANUEL CORTES (TSSA) moved the following motion:
There will be a General Election on June 8 th 2017;

For over three decades, successive British Governments have pursued
policies which have sadly been underpinned by free-market ideology and
neoliberalism.
Conference believes:

The re-election of a Tory Government would be a disaster for working
people and their families;
2
Labour offers a fresh start away from damaging neoliberalism by
building a new economic settlement which works for ordinary people rather
than the richest 1%.
