Site management
It is vital that the agreed systems are not bypassed and that all work is requested in writing through the system and not on the nod.
e-mail notification procedures in place and working.
In the public areas there are still many deficiencies that have been reported under the new system when we started it, and which have been irritants for the last 7 years, that have still not been attended to. It would be helpful to have a named Director to take oversight of the work of the site team so that the Site Team are able to ‘sign off’ work once finalised and communicate pressures and emerging challenges, beyond the current scheme of work.
Priorities for the site team are;
1. Safety. 2. Protecting the GFTU asset. 3. Generation of revenue. 4. Improving the guest experience. 5. Planned projects (costed, resourced and managed).
Arrangements were made to transfer management of staff to the Operations Manager and to transfer their employment to the Educational Trust. The details of this transfer have not be finalised yet but the GFTU Must be secure in the knowledge that standing orders are in place to secure full cost recovery and payments with suppliers are prompt and recharged.
